City of S-O-T Trampoline Club

Here you can find a profile of all our coaches and judges with photos so you can put a faces to names, if you don't know us already! As I am sure many of you are aware, to be able to compete in a competition each club has to supply a number of judges. As we have a very limited number of judges we decided to raise money through a raffle to send some of our parents and advanced bouncers to a course. They provide an invaluable help and we would like to thank all of our judges for their ongoing support!

DIANE PEARSON - Head Coach, Senior Club Coach and Regional Judge.

Diane has been involved in trampolining for over thirty years and is also the founder member of the club. In her earlier years she was a representative for the Great British Youth Squad. Diane works full time in her position as head coach and primarily works with the advanced trampolinists up to an International standard. She is also a county judge and was the first member of the club to sit on the club judge course. Diane has received an 'Outstanding Performance Coach' award for producing National Squad gymnasts, please click here to see the photo.

LOUISE FINNEY - High Performance Coach and County Judge.

Louise is Diane's daughter and she has been involved in trampolining for over ten years. She works full time as a teacher in the local college, teaching A-Level PE and coaches the advanced trampolinists up to an International standard. She also sat the county judge course and is looking forward to completing the next one over the coming year.

MARK ROBERTS - Senior Club Coach and County Judge.

Mark has been involved in trampolining for over twenty years. Originally from Birmingham, where he ran his own trampoline club, he has competed at a Grade 2 standard and has been coaching for eight years.

LOUISE TOPPING - Basic Coach.

Louise first became involved in the club after joining an adult class which was previously run in the local leisure centre. She currently competes at a Grade 5 standard in regional competitions and regularly coaches at the club.

ZOE BROOKS - Basic Coach and Club Judge.

Zoe joined the club in 2002 initially as a trampolinist and now judges for the club on a regular basis. Zoe currently still competes at a Grade 6 standard in regional competitions and coaches for us on a casual basis.

REBECCA BROAD - Assistant Coach and Club Judge.

Becky has been a member of the club since she was seven years old and joined with friends and her older sister. She still trains and has competed for the club at Grade 1 standard. Becky is currently at Nottingham University studying for a degree in Nursing.

LAURA MCMAHON - Assistant Coach and Club Judge.

Laura has been a member of the club since she was seven years old when she joined with her friends. She currently competes at a Grade 2 standard and keeps herself fit by playing netball for a local club.

CLAIRE ANDERSON - Club Coach and Club Judge.

Claire has been with various clubs around the UK before joining us in September 2005. She has been trampolining for around 10 years and coaching for 7. Claire currently works for Staffordshire University in the Schools & Colleges Office and coaches regularly for the club every Wednesday. She used to compete at a Grade 4 level and hopes to return to competing soon.

LAURA DAVIS - Basic Coach.

Laura has been trampolining since she was 8 years old and has been part of several winning teams including the National Schools Elite U19 team 2008 as part of the college TAP programme. She is one of the hardest working gymnasts and is a current National C competitor. Laura has just finished studying for her A2’s and hopes to progress to study Sports Science at university.

CLAIRE THOMAS - Assistant Coach.

Claire joined the club when she was seven years old after been advised to join us from another club. She has competed at the highest domestic level, grade 1, and is a passionate and enthusiastic member. She is hoping to continue competing shortly after recently suffering a knee injury. Claire is studying for her A-levels at the 6^th Form College, Stoke and hopes to progress onto university.

LANI DACEY - Assistant Coach.

Lani is our most successful performer to date having competed as part of the GB squad for 4 years. Having transferred from gymnastics to trampolining at a young age Lani is an incredible talent but unfortunately no longer wishes to train at such a high standard. Lani is studying for her A-levels at Stoke on Trent 6^th Form College, and competes for the TAP programme having been a part of the 2008 National elite schools winning team.
